Church website SEO, handled by an assistant

A monthly audit assistant scores your church website and lists fixes with evidence. After you approve, the assistant makes the fixes and checks Google Search Console.

The problem

Most small churches build a website once and never look at it again. Nobody has time to learn SEO, so the site quietly gets harder to find, and new families looking for a church never land on it.

What it does

We use two assistants for this. A dedicated audit assistant crawls the church website once a month and scores it on SEO, content, speed, accessibility, conversion, and structured data. It lists fixes as P0, P1, or P2, each with the page it found the problem on, and it reports what changed since last month. It never invents a metric.

Then the main assistant takes the fixes the pastor approves and makes them: page titles, meta descriptions, structured data (JSON-LD), the sitemap, robots.txt, and the words on each page. It submits the sitemap to Google Search Console and checks back to see which pages are indexed and which searches show the site. When a page shows up in search but few people click it, it rewrites that page's title.

We rescore after fixes so you can see whether it helped.

Setup

  1. Give it access to your site host or CMS.
  2. Verify your site in Google Search Console.
  3. Pick the day each month the audit runs.
  4. List the 3 to 5 things people search to find a church like yours.

We're still tracking this honestly, so there's no number here yet.

Questions pastors ask

Does it change the website without asking?
No. It lists the fixes, you approve them, and every change is previewed before it goes live.
Will it make up traffic numbers?
No. Every score comes from the audit or from Search Console. If there's no data yet, it says so.
Does it buy ads or links?
No. No paid ads, no link buying, no fake reviews, and no stuffed keywords.
How do we know the fixes helped?
We rescore after fixes so you can see whether it helped.
What does it need to start?
Access to your site host or CMS, a verified Google Search Console, a monthly audit day, and the 3 to 5 things people search to find a church like yours.
