Deal hunter for church purchases

Put upcoming church purchases on a watch list and have an AI assistant keep an eye out for the best deal. It only alerts you, and a person approves every purchase.

The problem

We usually know what we'll need to buy months ahead, but nobody has time to check prices every week, so we end up buying whenever it becomes urgent.

What it does

We give it a list of upcoming purchases, and it keeps watch for the best deal and lets me know when one looks worth a look. Right now it's watching a Sonos speaker system for us. We haven't used it much yet, so this is an honest early report, not a success story.

Setup

  1. List the upcoming purchases: the exact item or model, roughly when you need it, and who decides.
  2. Tell it which stores and sellers you trust, and whether used or refurbished is okay.
  3. Have it check in on a schedule and only message you when a deal is worth a look, with a link and why it stood out.
  4. Have the person who approves purchases look it over and buy it themselves, through your normal process.

Guardrails

Time saved

We haven't used it much yet, so there's no number here.

Questions pastors ask

Does it buy things for us?
No. It only sends alerts. A person reviews the deal and makes any purchase.
What are you watching right now?
A Sonos speaker system. It's the first thing we put on the list.
Has it saved you money?
We haven't used it much yet, so we can't say. We'll update this once we've actually bought something through it.
What does it need to start?
The exact items you're planning to buy, when you need them, and which sellers you trust.
